Missoula: Day 1

The view from the back of the Maurer's house having arrived yesterday afternoon after driving down from the Amtrak depot in Whitefish, MT.
After a lazy morning, Erik and I did some errands before heading back to his place and picking up his two girls, Lindsay and Kera.  The plan was to go for a hike up one of the trails near Lolo.  It was so beautiful up there.  The girls took it in their stride, especially Kera who was sporting a Camelback with not only her own water but water for Lindsay and me and some snacks as well.

There was a creek running parallel with the trail and after walking some distance, we found a place to stop and have some snacks.  Many of the stones we found had streaks of silver and gold in them.

After we had snacks, we walked a little farther before heading back to the car and 'home'.

After dinner, we sat and watched Toy Story 3 before heading to bed for a well earned rest.
